Space and spaceships have always been a weakness of mine. I love Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate, Firefly, Traveller, Aerotech/Battletech… and then along came these two cool looking Kickstarter campaigns. Emergence Event/The Awakening and Xia: Legends of a Drift System.
Initially I wanted to make a couple ships to replace some missing parts in EE, but these are pretty decent scale to sit nicely on the Xia board as well. Sci Fi fans should recognize Serenity and may even recognize the Kusari Battleship from Freelancer. They’re done in Monocure3D Rapid Black resin and are shown alongside a whitish stock piece from the EE game. The painted ships are from the Xia game and come as such which was a really nice feature.
End results of ships? I’ll just put these right here.
I highly recommend people seek out the Xia game and expansion. It’s ridiculously, absurdly, stupid good fun. Replay factor is huge and it’s soloable with the expansion.
